About the Position: This Supervisory Training, Readiness, and Exercise position is located at U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Training, Readiness, and Exercises Division with a duty location of Colorado Springs, CO.
Duties
Supervises the Training, Readiness, and Exercise Division, which encompasses a diverse workforce, including Military, Civilian, and contractor personnel with diverse skill sets.
Serves as subject matter expert on the employment, implementation, and concept of operations (CONOPS) for all USASMDC training, certifications, exercises, and readiness engagements by the command in support of SPACECOM, NORTHCOM, and STRATCOM.
Chairs the command Exercise Working Group for deployment of the Command's space forces for exercise participation.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance through the duration of your employment.
- The incumbent of this position must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- This position requires the employee to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03/GS-13).
