About the Position: Incumbent receives guidance from the Deputy Chief of Staff for Resource Management (DCSRM, Tier 2 SES), Executive Deputy to the Commanding General (Tier 3 SES), and the 4-star Commanding General, U.S. Army Materiel Command (AMC), relating to direct-funded and working-capital-funded business operations and efficiencies.

Duties

Supervise G8's seven GS15 division chiefs and three members of the HQs support team. Senior advisor and directly responsible to synchronize and drive G8 operations, interpret and enforce policy, and facilitating division chief support of G8 mission execution. Oversee and guide AMC’s Army Working Capital Funds (AWCF) operations and the PPBE functions across the AMC HQs and at AMC's ten major subordinate commands (MSCs). Lead AMC’s manpower management effort, as part of Total Army Analysis (TAA). Lead the Army’s audit effort for the Army Working Capital Fund. Oversee and guide AMC’s budgeting for and execution of multiple resource types including working capital funds, and O and M, Procurement and RDTE appropriations. Oversee the development and enforcement of policies and procedures necessary to enable the effective implementation of AMC programs and budget activities across the HQs and ten subordinate MSCs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering the position and annually.
  • Certification Level 3: THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 3 Certified position designated: Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.
  • Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Tier 5, Top Secret Clearance.
  • Incumbent is required to complete and pass a drug screen.
