Qualifications

For GS-07: Applicants must meet one of the following to qualify for the GS-7 level: One year of specialized experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, the required specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-05 level in the Federal service. Examples of GS-5 level work may include: serving as a trainee in assisting higher level Specialists in the initial review of applications to determine that eligibility and basic qualification requirements have been met for specific positions; determining veterans' preference; entering/modifying vacancy announcements using an automated recruitment system; ensuring personnel actions are appropriately coded; and responding to questions from applicants. **OR applicants may substitute successful completion of one full year of graduate level education which provided the applicant with the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work. **OR combination of successfully completed graduate level education and experience that which meets the total qualification requirement for the GS-07 level.
