This position is part of the Bonneville Power Administration , Department of Energy. As a Student Trainee (Business Analyst), you will serve as a Student Trainee receiving on-the-job training (OJT) as a business analyst reporting to MT management.
Duties
As a Student Trainee (Business Analyst), you will:
Assist senior specialists with preparation of analyses and presentation materials.
Assemble data need to perform studies, research projects, and perform some technical duties.
Provide support to senior specialists in preparing, recording and documenting of business processes and studies.
Use the specific procedures of automated systems to find, review, or change/modify business related data.
Perform a full range of standard and non-standard clerical assignments and resolve a variety of non-recurring problems.
Qualifications
BASIC REQUIREMENT:
Currently enrolled in an accredited college (including 4-year colleges/universities, community colleges, and junior colleges); professional, technical, vocational, and trade school; advanced degree programs; or other qualifying educational institution pursuing a qualifying degree or certificate.
GS-03: To qualify, you must have completed 1 academic year of post-high school education. (1 full academic year is equivalent to 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours.)
GS-04: To qualify, you must have completed 2 full academic years of post-high school study OR an associate's degree.
GS-05: To qualify, you must have completed 4 academic years of post-high school education leading to a bachelor's degree OR a bachelor's degree.
Note: 1 full academic year is equivalent to 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours. "Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience.
Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education
Education Requirements:
Your educational goals must include obtaining a professional degree in business or a related field.
You must submit a copy of your current transcripts with major being pursued for proof of education and enrollment. If you are not currently enrolled, but have been accepted for future enrollment you must submit a copy of your acceptance letter with your application.
Education must be obtained from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. See
