The primary purpose of this position is Air Force Sustainment Center's supply chain process owner providing center level policy, procedures, guidance, and systems relating to requirements determination and execution, inventory tracking and reporting, asset cataloging, provisioning, stock control and distribution.

Duties

1. Performs technical and administrative lead duties on a regular and recurring basis for 25% or more of the time by identifying, distributing, assigning and balancing workload and tasks amongst employees by skill level, proficiency and/or occupational specialization, making adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely accomplishment of work assignments. 2. Consistently exercises independent judgment in directing and assigning work amongst employees by using determinative factors such as team members' expertise, experience, competence, workload availability, work priorities and team member functional development. 3. Prepares reports and maintains records of work accomplishments and administrative information, as required, and coordinates the preparation, presentation and communication of work related information to the supervisor. 4. Researches, learns and applies a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze and improve team effectiveness, efficiency and work products.

  • This position has been designated as an acquisition position and is covered by the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP).
  • The employee must meet, or be capable of meeting Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification requirements applicable to the career category designated on the position description within 24 months of assignment.
  • This position also requires the employee to engage in acquisition continuous learning activities achieving 80 Continuous Learning points every 24 months.
  • Selectee may be required to serve a probationary or trial period.

Qualifications

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-02, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is described as: ability to integrate the separate functions in planning or implementing a logistics management program; developing, or performing logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support the organizations mission. The work involves: (1) identifying the specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support the program; and (2) correlating those requirements with program plans to assure that the needed support is provided. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of the applicable logistics management principles, concepts, policies, and laws; logistics functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve logistics problems; and all aspects of life cycle integrated logistics support. 2. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures. 3. Ability to lead, motivate and guide the functions of the team. 4. Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, and evaluate options. 5. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources. 6. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
