This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Coast Guard, District Fourteen, Sector Guam, Santa Rita, Guam.
Duties
In this position, you will be accountable for information management, situational awareness, command and control in a pivotal policy role from day one. You will serve as a direct representative of the Sector Commander and assist in maintaining Maritime Domain Awareness for Sector Guam. As such, you shall be responsible for the coordination and oversight of all Search and Rescue and Maritime Law Enforcement, operations undertaken or within the purview of the Sector Commander.

- This position requires a Secret clearance.
- Within 1 year, applicant must obtain Search and Rescue certificates.
Qualifications
You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one of the following:A. One year of specialized experience at the GS-09 grade level or equivalent that demonstrates the
Collecting initial information to classify search and rescue (SAR) cases and begin case documentation.
Providing tracking and other sensor information to support missions.
Providing course and speed information to response assets to coordinate arrivals at a particular point.
Writing final situation reports about search and rescue (SAR) cases.
ORB. Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degreeOR3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degreeORLL.M., if relatedORC. Applicants may meet qualification requirements through a combination of graduate level education beyond the first 2 years of progressive graduate study and specialized experience that together meets 100% of the qualification requirements for the position.
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
