You will serve as the Supervisory Deputy Program Manager in the Aircraft Launch & Recovery Equipment office (PMA-251) of the Program Executive Officer (PEO) for Tactical Aircraft Programs (PEO(T)).

Duties
You will provide the leadership necessary to ensure delivery of weapons products to the end user.
You will interact with other members of the Leadership Team to assure integration of program products, to identify problems and to facilitate resolution of problems.
You will develop and implement management policies, controls and operating procedures for overall planning, direction and timely execution of the program during all phases of the life cycle.
You will analyze needs and requirements information necessary for development of specific objectives for assigned program initiatives and for planning.
You will identify program office and competency area support needed to meet assigned program requirements.
You will direct the development of comprehensive program plans to ensure fulfillment of technical, cost schedule and performance objectives.
You will exercise delegated managerial and supervisory authority to direct, coordinate, and oversee work of subordinates.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field A Level 4-ADVANCED. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience: 1) Applying principles of the technical and business systems and the associated processes and practices used to manage weapons systems acquisition in the Navy. 2) Developing and maintaining an effective acquisition management team by using managerial, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills. 3) Applying knowledge of the principles governing life cycle acquisition management within DoD, the DoD Planning, Programming and Budgeting System, and the Navy acquisition management process. 4) Planning for and synthesizing requirements of functional areas, including engineering, logistics, budget, configuration management and other functional specialties into integrated strategies and processes to support the acquisition program.
