About the Position: This position is with US Army Nuclear Chemical Agency (USANACA) located in Fairfax, VA.
Duties
Influence Department of Defense and Joint policy and program matters pertaining to CBRN Survivability and CWMD Programs.
Assess impacts from enactment and budget process adjustments and guidelines.
Ensure that agency is current on evolving National, OSD, Office of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (OCJCS) CWMD strategy, operational requirements,
and policies.
Prepare and deliver detailed briefings, position papers, and information papers to various staff as required.
Represent leadership at various conferences and meetings, both formal and informal, with key and top officials from other activities/agencies to resolve different viewpoints regarding controversial CWMD issues.
Prepare and review correspondence, issue papers, and position papers related to CBRN survivability and CWMD matters; and furnish information and recommendation in response to inquiries.
Coordinate and collect pertinent information and evaluate data to formulate recommendations to leadership relevant to CWMD/CBRN survivability concepts.
Assist capability developers and materiel developers in the delivery of solutions to address CWMD and CBRN survivability capability gaps.
Develop strategy documents relating to operational survivability in a nuclear environment.
Assist staff in development, coordination, and publication of policy and decisions pertaining to CWMD and surviving on a contaminated battlefield.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Planning and directing studies on Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD), nuclear weapon effects, and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) survivability requirements; negotiating with senior management to implement study results; integrating CBRN survivability requirements in materiel solutions within acquisition systems such as: Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS); analyzing studies and programs for nuclear survivability, nuclear weapon effects, and CWMD readiness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
