About the Position: You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist for the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, Executive Director for Support Operations Directorate, Production Support Division, at Fort Carson, Colorado.
This position will be filled as a term appointment NTE 13 months.
Duties
Coordinate with internal and external agencies in support of the organization’s logistics Strategic Planning effort.
Manage information in multiple logistical information management systems such as Army Enterprise System Integration program (AESIP) and Global Combat Support System Army (GCSS-A).
Review Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) activities to assure compliance with established procedures.
Develop logistics management operations that involve planning and evaluating logistical actions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
- Term employment is subject to a one year trial period.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes solving complex logistics issues that negatively impact supplies activities; assist in developing and interpreting logistical policies and procedures; evaluates adequacy of logistical systems to identify needs for systems improvements; utilizes logistical information management systems to monitor assigned programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration, Business Logistics, and Supply Chain Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
