This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for STRL Mission Support to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Is with US ARMY COMBAT CAPABILITIES DEV CMD SOLDIER CENTER SOLDIER PROTECTION DIRECTORATE PROTECTION EQUIPMENT DIVISION SOLDIER PROTECTION & INDIV EQUIP TEAM.

Duties

Analyze and review plans and major programs that are significant to the success of key mission programs affecting the directorate/center. Apply knowledge of different functional programs and program planning associated with program development. Analyze and verifies data, techniques, and methodologies associated with program development. Develop and design a system that meets a specific set of requirements through a process that yields timely, affordable, high-quality products that meet the needs of the warfighter. Providing oversight of verification and validation activities, to insure proper development of a platform and/or end product.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • May be required to travel in a Temporary Duty (TDY) status for 25% or more of the time.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450
  • Term Appointment
  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Secret Security Clearance
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management certification within 36 months as of entrance on duty.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11/DE-02 which includes: 1) Developing policies, procedures, and plans that result in unique products that provide tools or resources for broad application. 2) Interpreting regulations and laws to develop implementation strategies. 3) Applying independent judgment in making compromises to satisfy complex requirements. And 4) Developing new policies, approaches or techniques that impact beyond the scope of the organization. This position is in the DE-03 pay band that is equivalent to the GS-12 step 1 to GS-13 step 10 level.
