About the Position: Serves as the Installation Range Officer of the Fort Bliss training complex (FBTC), Fort Bliss, TX, supporting 1st Armored Division (1AD) Reserve Components, Marines, Army, Air Force and other governmental agencies.
Duties
Responsible for coordination and support of Explosive, Ordnance, and Demolition (EOD) survey teams for clearance operations of future construction site verification.
Manages the range and training land inspection program responsible for reporting any shortcomings in maintenance for range and training land facilities.
Manage an $8 million dollar budget with associated range-supporting contract requirements
Lead and provide guidance to 11 supervisors that manage the Fort Bliss Range and ITAM programs
Coordinate with Air Integration Center (AIC) for airspace deconfliction and laser safety requirements.
Serve as the Fort Bliss representative for range and training facilities related actions including coordination, correspondence, briefings, conferences Range Complex Master Plan Briefings,/Training Support Management Review (TSMR) Conferences.
Develops plans, policies, and procedures, and serves as the installation authority on live-fire training, range utilization, range safety, implementation of safety regulations, and range maintenance/operations.
