You will serve as a ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (CIRCUITS) in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL FAC ENGINEERING CMD WASH.
Duties
You will develop and maintain facilities inventory database with information concerning facilities' systems and components.
You will perform inspections of electrical controls and supply systems to determine the type of maintenance required.
You will analyze equipment usage and maintenance to determine its effectiveness.
You will analyze mechanical engineering problems, economic factors and other criteria, and of performing redesign and design modifications of
tooling, fixtures, utilities and subsystems.
You will inspect facilities to ensure requested work requirements are feasible and completed.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:(1) Collecting data such as utility usage, meter management, and understanding the reporting functions within CIRCUITS as well as correspondence to relay information to other parties;(2) Preparing comprehensive written reports containing recommendations and supporting data for managers, Contracting Officer, and UEM Branch Head;(3) Conducting studies, analyzing and calculating for the solution of problems connected with the overall planning, design, or operation of utility systems;(4) Planning and executing studies and surveys characterized by one or more of the following: comprehensive studies involving scheduling, coordinating and integrating several phases and complex studies which require deviation from standard methods, techniques, and established policies and studies which have a significant impact on the workload, operations and/or costs of related organizations;(5) Making field investigations to collect data needed for designs and determine the nature and condition of existing facilities;(6) Developing and maintaining regional government and contractor contacts to initiate and follow-up on new/current programs;(7) Preparing procurement documentation and taking proper steps to resolve discrepancies.(8) Providing effective communication with customers, keeping them informed of all pertinent utility cost matters, and all changes in metering and allocation processes and(9) Preparing necessary worksheets, collecting and analyzing data for the development of accurate zone utility/maintenance cost center and commodity budgets and rates.
