About the Position: This position is located in USAJFK SPECIAL WARFARE CENTER & SCHOOL 1ST SPECIAL WARFARE TRNG GROUP (ABN) SUPPORT BN FORT LIBERTY, NC

Duties

Conduct a variety of management studies, surveys, and cost/economic analysis utilizing mathematical and statistical techniques. Oversee and manage the Special Operation Center of Excellence (SOCoE) Nontactical/Tactical fleet. Receives tasking requirements for GSA/tactical vehicles operations. Provide technical guidance to the organization in all aspects of unit transportation operations. Serve as technical advisor and special projects officer on complex transportation programs and problems as designated.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State driver's license.
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) may be required up to 10%.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.
  • May be subject to one-year probationary period.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Advising on transportation program requirements, policies, and procedures; 2.) Reviewing equipment authorizations; and evaluating transportation data against fleet requirements. 3.) Experience in synchronizing logistics requirements necessary to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of transportation operations; 4.) Maintain various sustainment databases and capture sustainment statistical data utilizing automated systems such as the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A), GSA Drive Thru, and GSA Telematics. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in accounting, business administration, business or commercial law, commerce, economics, engineering, finance, industrial management, statistics, traffic management, transportation, motor mechanics, or other fields related to the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: DecisivenessPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Credibility Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
