This position is in the Office of Planning, Evaluation, and Policy Development (OPEPD) Office of Education Technology (OET). OET develops national educational technology policy and establishes the vision for how technology can be used to transform teaching and learning.

- You may be subject to serve a one-year probationary period.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
You may meet the minimum qualifications for the GS-14, if you possess the specialize experience.Specialized Experience for the GS-14:
One year of experience in either federal or non-federal service that is equivalent to at least a GS-13 performing two (2) out of three (3) of the following duties or work assignments:
Experience advising senior officials on higher education or emerging technology.
Experience representing the Department on key initiatives, such as open educational resources.
Experience implementing technological advancement to improve the learning experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
The quality of your experience will be measured by the extent to which you possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs). You do not need to provide separate narrative responses to these KSAs, as they will be measured by your responses to the occupational questionnaire (you may preview the occupational questionnaire by clicking the link at the end of the Evaluations section of this vacancy announcement)
Knowledge of the full range of program analysis functions including conceptual design, development, analysis and improvement of methods and procedures.
Skills to advance ED objectives by serving as a representative and spokesperson on issues related to departmental and national educational policy.
Knowledge of programs, goals and organizational relationships with other programs at all levels of the organization.
Ability to provide consultant services to top-level officials of ED, state and local agencies, institutions and organizations.
