Duties
You will work under the Commander/Deputy to the Commander who provides broad policy, priorities and program guidance.
You will serve as the Chief, S-1 section responsible for military and civilian personnel management.
You will coordinate civilian personnel and pay matters within the Brigade.
You will provide technical advice and guidance to the Brigade regarding essential personnel services for assigned military personnel
You will advise the Commander and staff on the status of personnel management and administrative requirements needed in support of current and future operations.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position requires temporary duty (TDY) business travel approximately 35% of the time.
- Position requires a valid driver’s license.
- Designated Mission Essential Position: Incumbent is required to report for duty during inclement weather, Natural Disasters, and other emergency situations as directed by the Commander.
- May be required to remain on duty after the official shift ends, i.e., mandatory overtime, subject to recall to duty. Incumbent must maintain a functioning telephone to aid in contact during recall/emergency situations.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing military and civilian personnel management functions such as strength management, personnel readiness, retention, replacement operations; experience using military automated programs; experience using civilian personnel database systems and advising or providing guidance on military and civilian personnel related programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
