About the Position: This position is NOT 100% telework.

Duties

Serves as technical lead on system engineering projects. Monitoring system engineering efforts and associated contract efforts to supplement mission programs. Conducting system engineering requirement analysis to determine requirements for external efforts, and guides the preparation of the technical portions of the procurement package. Coordinating with users during concept formulation and determination of system designs and parameters, technical risk, cost effectiveness, and testing. Presenting briefings to convey strategic vision or organizational policies, Providing expert advice in the evaluation of contractors' proposals and capabilities. Assessing contractors system engineering efforts and deliverables, and modifying, realigning, or redirecting contractual efforts as necessary.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A one year trial/probationary period may be required.
• Position requires a Secret security clearance or the incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management certification within 60 months as of entrance on duty.
• This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.
