This position is in the Office of the Chief Operating Officer (OCOO) located in Washington, DC.

Duties

Serve as a senior adviser and consultant responsible for a broad range of operational functions and projects. Collaborate with office leadership on approaches to maximize the utilization of resources to achieve organizational goals and objectives. Prepare Congressional justifications and operating budget requests, monitors and analyzes the budget, facilitates staffing and procurement activities, assists with documenting technology needs and IT project management, and facilitates space management. Serve as a Contracting Officer's Representative on one or more contracts. Communicate highly complex information to others via face-to-face meetings, telephone, or email. Develop and present detailed reports, presentations, schedules, talking points, policies and procedures that are clear and concise. Identify and develop ways to resolve problems or cope with issues that affect the accomplishment of program goals and objectives

  • DIRECT DEPOSIT: All Federal employees are required to have Federal salary payments made by direct deposit to a financial institution of their choosing.
  • This position is not in the collective bargaining unit.
  • This position is eligible to request telework in accordance with the SEC 's telework policy.

Qualifications

All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Time-in-grade for this announcement is one year at the SK-13 level. Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: SK-14: Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the SK-13 level. Leading the development of recommendations, administrative policies, procedures, or initiatives to meet organizational needs and accomplish program objectives; AND Experience in ALL four of the following areas: a) Financial management/budget analysis; b) Human resources; c) Acquisitions management; d) General administrative support (such as space management, travel management or records management, etc.).
