You will serve as a TRAINING INSTRUCTOR (WATER SURVIVAL) in the Naval Survival Training Institute (NSTI) Detachment of the Naval Medicine Operational Training Center.

Duties

You will perform duties as the Safety Diver for training operations. You will inspect diving system and equipment. You will maintain records for diving qualifications. You will ensure safety of students undergoing training.

• This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
• Must obtain and maintain diver, high risk instructor, CPR and USN Lifeguard certifications.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Experience utilizing automated systems (e.g., management information system, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) to extract information. Experience assisting with clerical and administrative functions to support the needs of the organization. Experience preparing reports and maintaining documents in electronic files for easy retrieval. Experience as a second-class Diver. Navy Dive School or equivalent experience.
