You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST for SURFACE COMBAT SYSTEMS TRAINING COMMAND SAN DIEGO.
Duties
You will provide training administrative services in the analysis, design, and development of Navy instructional programs and curricula.
You will monitor and update instructions and databases with regard to training requirements, testing programs, and quality of training.
You will develop, revise, review, and evaluate curriculum materials for technical accuracy and accomplishment of objectives.
You will be responsible for instructor certification and evaluation programs by monitoring, evaluating, and advising on the qualifications of instructors.
You will conduct training analysis review in accordance with guidelines and provide internal feedback from the results of surveys and interviews.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing training methods, techniques and tools in order to design and develop training courses and materials; 2) Evaluating effectiveness of existing programs, revising ongoing programs, and developing and implementing new training; 3) Conducting trend analysis of instructor evaluations, preparing evaluation reports, and recommendations; 4) Applying knowledge of instructional technology to determine alternative options for training delivery (e.g., interactive courseware, computer based training).

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.M., if related
Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study - education or a subject area related to the position to be filled.
Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of specialized experience and undergraduate/graduate level education to be creditable. To determine if you met these requirements, total your qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determine your education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; then add the two percentages.
