You will serve as a Supervisory Training Instructor at the Commander, Maritime Expeditionary Security Group of CORIVGRU ONE.

Duties

You will serve as the primary point of contact for training information and material exchange among the staff training team. You will serve as authoritative consultant and troubleshooter to resolve controversial matters. You will offer guidance to military Training Officers in the principles, procedures, and techniques of applied training and development. You will manage staff training programs schedules, administer training plans, and assist in developing long and short-range training plans. You will modify or develop training programs and provide direct training to the staff members who will utilize the programs. You will make recommendations, or determinations, that result in the implementation of official policy or the obligation of substantial program resources. You will arrange site visits to Maritime Expeditionary Security Force schools when mission and training requirements need changing to convene and/or support course curriculum review boards. You will prepare, review, and revise active duty and reserve programs doctrine, command directives and instructions governing training and operational procedures. You will communicate assignments, deadlines, and program issues to the training team. You will schedule force assessments based on the four training phases of Maintenance, Basic, Integrated/Advanced and Sustainment. You will serve as the Certification Manager, Readiness and Cost Reporting Program (RCRP) database Manager, Exercise planner, and Expeditionary Warfighting Tactics Instructor (ExWTI) Manager. You will coordinate and liaison with TYCOM and subordinate units to ensure Advanced Skills Management (ASM)/SHIPMATE management and implementation is synchronized with RCRP and other web-based training management applications. You will support capabilities-based costing system and Force readiness reporting.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector leading the development and coordination of training plans or operational procedures by providing technical and administrative guidance to ensure compliance and efficient implementation of an organization's training program.
