About the Position: This position is located with CASCOM, SCOE, USA Trans Corps Regiment & School, 58Th Transportation Battalion. Fort Leonard Wood is located in South-Central Missouri . The Fort covers more than 61,000 acres and is located in Pulaski County, Missouri. Bordering the installation are the towns of Waynesville/St. Robert and Interstate 44. St. Louis is a 2 hour drive to the East along I-44 and Springfield is a little more than an hour's drive to the West of Fort Leonard Wood.

Duties

Serve as the property and supply technician with responsibility for the requisition, documentation, and physical control of property, supplies, and equipment for use in Motor Transport Operator’s course training. Perform a wide variety of supply clerical duties within an automated supply system such as receiving, reviewing, and interpreting a variety of supply regulations, bulletins, and manuals. Prepare, review, and correct hand receipt listing and annexes. Type and file a variety of requisitions, turn-in slips, repair requests, work orders, office records, etc. Provide a projected budget data based on prices, inventory level and class load. Store radioactive equipment, chemicals, paints, and flammable in designated areas. Operate a motor vehicle (pick-up truck) weighing up to 1 ton, on the installation. Transport completed training aids, supplies, and equipment from origin to unit supply room, storage facility, or training areas as required. Perform operator and preventive maintenance tasks in compliance with the organization .

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid state driver’s license is required and must be maintained for this position.
  • Incumbent is subject to a medical clearance examination prior to employment.
  • This position may require an annual physical or medical surveillance examination.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ClericalDecision MakingManages Resources Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-5). An employee may be advanced to this position, if he/she has served in a position no lower than 2 grades below the position being filled within the last 52 weeks. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).
