This position is part of the NNSA - Chief and Associate Administrator for Defense Nuclear Security, Department of Energy. A successful candidate in this position will serve as a Field Liaison Officer in the Security Enterprise Support Division (NA-711).

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower NNSA Demonstration Project pay band or GS grade level in the Federal service, i.e., NQ-02 or GS-12. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Experience in carrying out a variety of security specialist assignments and applying knowledge of program management, program analysis and resource planning in the areas of vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, analytical risk management and security technology.
Examples of Specialized Experience:
1. Perform a range of analytical and administrative tasks designed to provide advanced developmental experience in the broad field of security administration, or in a specialized security functional area.
2. Plan and carry out the full range of security administration assignments and handles deviations from established procedures.
3. Resolve problems that arise in accordance with agency or local standards, previous training and experience, established practices, or other security controls appropriate to each assignment.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
