About the Position Serves as Project Officer for a JPEO Armaments & Ammunition Project/Product Manager, who holds the incumbent responsible for providing effective management, direction and control over assigned functions.
Duties
Performs as the Project Management Officer in charge of the effective management, direction, and control over assigned programs to include Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) materiel solutions.
Independently applies managerial skills in project management and acquisition life cycle management.
Conducts briefing related to costs, schedule and performance of assigned programs to provide recommendations as necessary.
Provide effective management, direction and control over assigned functions.
Coordinates, integrates, leads and directly controls the efforts associated with assigned projects.
Conduct program planning to allocate resources, direct, coordinate and evaluate a wide range of program related functions.
Establishes and maintains program information in various formats for internal and external information requirements.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Overseeing a program or a portion of a program through a phase of the acquisition process; 2) Assisting an Integrated plan in developing and executing program plans; 3) Preparing detailed program briefs outlining the master plans or program objectives.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
