About the Position: This position is located at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, in San Antonio Texas. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Duties

Design, coordinate, and execute complex analyses, tests, and reviews of various analytics/metrics and business intelligence. Identify correlations or causations within large datasets to provide a synopsis of emerging agency trends. Create processes that pinpoint program successes and/or deficiencies for use by senior leadership in making substantive program updates/modifications. Build and verify new data models that assist in agency level decisions and program actions. Assist in design and research protocols, such as data collection plans, data management plans, and privacy and confidentiality plans. Manage data transfers from survey engines such as Qualtrics and other existing systems. Lead Department of Clinical Investigation data analytics/metrics projects that require high levels of collaboration with agency business partners. Develop internal Data Management Plans and Data Dictionaries.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
• Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with clinical data management, performing comprehensive predictive analytics, and providing recommendations for business decisions based on identified data trends. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
