This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Associate Director - Management/Chief Information. As a Supervisory It Cybersecurity Specialist (Infosec), you will serves as the Bureau's Security Operation Center (SOC) Manager, overseeing the work of subordinate staff of IT Cybersecurity Specialists and Contractors who are engaged in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all IT systems operated by or on behalf of the Bureau.

Duties

As a Supervisory It Cybersecurity Specialist (Infosec), you will: - Lead and manage a 24x7x365 Security Operations Center (SOC) providing technical oversight to the SOC team members. - Serve as a subject matter expert on matters pertaining to computer, network, and communications security, information and cyber security, general oversight, compliance and training in the IT security area. - Direct the Bureau SOC that influences a range of the Bureau's activities, many of which have a direct and corresponding impact to the mission of the Bureau and its' critical infrastructure. - Interaction and communication are with a range of high-ranking leaders, managers, and security experts within and outside the Bureau, components of the Federal Reserve, and responsible executives, supervisors, and technical staff within the Bureau who are responsible for program, infrastructure, and security functions supporting daily operations. - Manage a team of cyber and IT specialists, set priorities and deadlines, assign work to team members based on skill level of team members, difficulty of task, priorities, etc. - Review and analyze technical and work-related problems and issues that arise and develop or recommends alternative solutions.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience for the GS-14: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility at the GS-13 level in the Federal service or equivalent, which have equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: -Performing security functions and processes associated with detecting security attacks and vulnerabilities on systems and networks. AND -Performing network monitoring activities, penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, risk analysis and cybersecurity incident management. AND -Leading security operation center (SOC) activities. In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
