You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the Training Directorate of Center for Aviation Technical Training (CNATT).
Salary Range for GS-11: $72,553 - $94,317
Salary Range for GS-09: $59,966 - $77,955
Duties
You will develop, edit and/or critique training documents, training instructions, Navy Training Systems Plans, and Standard Operating Procedures.
You will collect, analyze and research training-based data to develop detailed instructions regarding standards.
You will monitor project milestones and evaluate curriculum documents submitted by activities and contractors in terms of policy and standards compliance and provide guidance as applicable.
You will collect and analyze information for schoolhouse accreditation in support of the Council on Occupational Education.
You will participate in meetings with assigned Integration Production Teams for the purpose of ensuring policy and standards are adhered to in support of new developments and/or training requirements.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Travel and overtime may be required on occasion. Overtime work may be required on occasion, based on high priority projects and time constraints in support of critical programs.
Qualifications
GS-11; Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Analyzing, designing, and implementing aviation maintenance training courses; 2) Managing curriculum-related production to include providing guidance on policies and standards for aviation training courses; 3) Developing, editing and/or analyzing training materials and instructions/procedures utilizing aircraft technical manuals, enlisted classification manuals, and military training course handbooks.; and 4) Implementing project management practices and principles to manage multiple curriculum development/revision projects.
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of military aviation maintenance or operations to develop training materials and instructions; 2) Analyzing aviation course curriculum for conformity to technical training standards; 3) Utilizing electronic tracking and management tools (e.g., Corporate Enterprise Training Activity Resource System (CeTARS), Aviation training Equipment Management) to facilitate management of aviation training courses; and 4) Evaluating aviation training aids, devices and associated equipment utilized through the training process to ensure course objectives are met.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-11:
Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in Education or a subject area related to the position to be filled
OR
Completed three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Education or a subject area related to the position to be filled
OR
Completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled
OR
Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
GS-09
Have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree in Education or a subject area related to the position to be filled
OR
Completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled

Obtained an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled
OR
Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
