This position is located in the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, Office of Human Resources, Compensation and Benefits Division. The Compensation and Benefits Division irresponsible for providing authoritative advisory service and/or develops authoritative policy interpretation in the areas of compensation (including pay, leave, time and attendance, etc), WorkLife and benefits programs.

Duties

The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia. This position is telework eligible per agency and business unit discretion/policy. This position serves as Division Chief of the Compensation and Benefits Division responsible for planning, prioritizing, and assigning work; collaborating with peers and subordinates to assure Effective advisory services; and otherwise ensuring continuous progress toward stated goals. Qualifications

You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. You must meet all eligibility and qualifications requirements by the closing date of the job announcement. OPM Qualifications Standards are available at OPM.gov. Specialized Experienceis experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-14. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience in applying broad compensation and benefits human resources principles, practices, regulations and policies. Experience providing leadership an overview of compensation, work life and benefits programs. Experience developing methods and techniques to assure policies, practices and procedures are effectively communicated to various audiences. Experience evaluating programs or office functions and recommending more efficient and effective policies and procedures. Experience demonstrating supervisory duties, including performance management, planning and allocating work, and assessing training needs for the staff. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Education can not be subsituted at the GS-15 grade level.
