You will serve as Deputy Chief, NASA Shared Services Center, HR Services Division, the organization responsible for planning, formulating, and directing Agency-wide programs and consulting services. You will manage operations for HR services including staffing, classification, retirement and benefits, and employee development. Work requires establishing and cultivating the role of strategic business partner with NASA Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer, NASA managers and stakeholders.
Duties
Manage comprehensive human capital functions, serving as the primary adviser and consultant to the Division Chief and senior management.
Provide expertise and problem solving for issues affecting strategic HR services and programs, providing leadership to develop, manage, and
integrate agency-wide initiatives across diverse HR disciplines.
Perform a full range of human capital functions, serving as principal adviser and consultant to senior management officials in the resolution of
complex problems/issues impacting the strategic management of HR Services and programs.
Initiate, formulate and implement cutting-edge concepts, principles and methods to address extremely difficult systemic problems.
Initiate and implement pioneering concepts and methods to tackle complex systemic challenges, crafting solutions to address unprecedented
issues through innovative HR innovations, concepts, and principles.
Seek to improve customer satisfaction and education and eliminate barriers to mission accomplishment and customer service success.
Collaborate with other service areas to ensure service and products meet client needs and expectations.
Perform a full range of supervisory duties which includes assigning and evaluating work; recommending personnel actions; taking disciplinary actions; and identifying training needs and developing employees.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:
Formulating objectives and recommendations governing human resources functions to meet current and/or long-range human resources management goals
Developing plans, processes, and performance measures to track operational outcomes as it relates to delivering human capital strategy, operations, and analysis for a range of human resources functional areas, e.g., staffing, classification, retirement and benefits, employee development, personnel action processing
Providing authoritative advisory services on human resources operations, strategy, and human resources programs
Leading or managing an HR team, function or project while fostering engagement, teamwork, inclusion, and innovation.
