About the Position:
PEO EIS seeks interns for the Enterprise Business Systems - Convergence (EBS-C) program office an entry level person with excellent developmental opportunities for Acquisition Management Specialist. Gain hands on experience in all aspects of the DOD acquisition lifecycle supporting the Army in converging 5 Enterprise Resource Systems into 1; all while utilizing industry's latest Agile Methodologies.
Duties
Provide administrative oversight for PEO acquisition activities ensuring timely and successful execution of planned program events and milestones.
Coordinate a wide variety of projects and taskings relating to acquisition programs which include different functions in the life cycle phases.
Analyze information and data; assesses progresses of programs, projects, and processes.
Develop briefings to management, command and higher headquarters regarding the PEO's operations, objectives, goals, and accomplishments.
Coordinate a wide variety of projects and taskings consisting of, but not limited to, planning, developing, testing, contracting, producing, or providing acquisition logistics support.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Practitioner Level in the Acquisition Career Field (A) Program Management within 60 months of entrance on duty.
- Financial Disclosure Statement OGE Form 450 is required on pre-employment and annually thereafter.

ADMINISTRATIVE CAREERS WITH AMERICA (ACWA) ASSESSMENT: This series is covered under the Administrative Careers With America (ACWA) examining program. A link to the assessment will be sent to all eligible applicants that are required to take the ACWA assessment and you will have 48 hours to complete the assessment. The position is being recruited at the NH-02 level (GS 5-11 equivalent). You must meet the qualification requirements for the position and complete/pass the ACWA assessment.
Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment NTE 2 years by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary promotions or reassignments may be extended up to a maximum of five years, and may be made permanent without further competition.Position may be filled as a term appointment NTE 5 years, if the candidate is not a current permanent Army employee. Term appointments may be extended up to a maximum of six years. This position may be converted to permanent career or career-conditional appointment without further competition as long as all requirements are met. To be eligible for conversion, employee must complete at least 2 years of current continuous service under a term appointment in the competitive service AND employee must have a current performance rating under such term appointment of at least fully successful or equivalent.
Telework Eligibility Statement: This position may be eligible for regular and recurring TELEWORK, including emergency and OPM prescribed unscheduled Telework. Supervisor approval will be required on a case-by-case basis.
Acquisition Statement: Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act Career Field Position. This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level II - Practitioner in Acquisition Career Field A- Program Management within 60 months of entrance on duty.
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
This is a term position not to exceed 5 years, may be extended to 5 Years, or made permanent.

General Experience for NH-02 grade level: In order to qualify at the NH-02 grade level, your resume must describe three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level, which includes: Knowledge of various types of contracts, techniques or requirements for contracting or procurement, and contract negotiation and administration.

Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-01/GS-04).
Education
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
