Duties
You will serve as the Enterprise Strategy Planner and Service Section leader for the Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN) and Marine Corps Information Environment Enterprise (MCIEE)
You will evaluate and develop directives and policies that implement high-level policy changes that affect significant information technology strategic plans, programs or projects.
You will lead efforts to draft, assess, refine, document, and disseminate policy issuances addressing the provision and use of Marine Corps enterprise services.
You will Participates in IT working groups to represent the Marine Corps user community in defining enterprise-level IT acquisition and implementation strategies.
You will Supervises a group of employees performing work at the GS-13 or equivalent level. Provides administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit.
You will Performs the administrative and resource management functions relative to the staff supervised. Establishes guidelines and performance expectations for staff members.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: skill in applying, advanced IT principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices sufficient to accomplish assignments such as: develop and interpret policies, procedures, and strategies governing the planning and delivery of services throughout DC I; provide expert technical advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and other technical specialists on critical IT issues; apply new developments to previously unsolvable problems; and make decisions or recommendations that significantly influence important IT policies or programs. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
