About the Position: Serves as the Knowledge and Records Manager with the Futures and Concepts Center (FCC), G3/5/7.
The DE-03 pay band includes GS-12 step 01 through GS-14 step 10.
Duties
Improves organizational and individual performance and efficiencies of knowledge intensive processes, activities, and tasks.
Gathers requirements for planning, resourcing, executing, and assessing knowledge and information management initiatives.
Assists and advises senior level staff on how to best leverage existing and emerging internet, telecommunications, and KM technologies, to include online websites, portals and other technology-driven enablers.
Serves as technical expert within the Command for daily technical operations of the portal and for administering, creating and modifying customer sites, creating and managing accounts, and assisting other users.
Builds KM competency within the Command by providing training and education on KM concepts, best practices, and services necessary to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Engages senior level audiences to promote awareness, understanding, commitment, and action in support of KM.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- May require temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 10% of the time.
- A three year probationary period may be required.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience 1) developing policies and procedures for knowledge management and/or information management programs, 2) developing information technology (IT) acquisition strategies and equipment procurement plans for knowledge management and/or information management programs and 3) managing the use and disposal of digital and hard copy records.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DE-02 or GS-11 equivalency).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
