Duties

You will serve as a Deputy Installation Cost Manager (DCM) assigned to the Fleet Readiness Directorate (FRD) of the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR). You will support the Cost Manager by tracking and assessing financial trends and develop mitigations for all NAVWAR installations. You will assist the Cost Manager with Installation Contract Readiness Reviews (ICRR) and chairing in their absence when necessary. You will be responsible for financial health monitoring, control, and reporting. You will monitor and control costs to achieve efficiencies and "should cost" savings as well as support cost modeling and analysis. You will standardize documented process(es) and process related assets to monitor, control, communicate, and report Change Order Request Notification, Limitation of Cost, Limitation of Funds, and Request for Equitable Adjustment.

• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Generally, current federal employees applying for APS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with C4I Programs, C5ISR Systems/Capabilities and System of Systems Integration on Afloat Platforms and Shore Facilities. Perform analysis, review and validate object quality evidence in support of Fleet Introduction Team (FIT) activities.
