About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, located at Tripler Army Medical Center, Directorate of Resource Management, Logistics Division, Honolulu Hawaii.

Duties

Serves as a supply technician performing the full range of related supply processes/functions for the assigned program segment. Audits all assigned hand receipt holders and ensures the conduct of 100% audit of all hand receipts annually for assigned program segment. Applies audit techniques to determine cause(s) of inventory discrepancies. Determines proper sequences for various supply transactions such as but not limited to, establishing, changing and canceling property records; change of hand receipt holders, hand receipts, gain and loss transactions. Performs systematic review of property book to update unit prices, nomenclatures, local use codes, authorized quantities, etc

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Position is designated as Mission Essential. The incumbent will be required to report to work during times of contingency operations, natural disasters, extreme weather or other emergency situations.
  • Employee must be a qualified typist.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
  • This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

OR: Education: Completed a half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Supply Management, Logistics. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR: Combination of experience and education: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education by 9. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: AuditingComputer LiteracyEquipment ApplicationMedical Supply Inventory Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
