About the Position: This position is with the Directorate of Resource Management, Logistics at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), Honolulu, Hawaii.
The incumbent serves as a Supply Technician for the Acquisition Section of the Materiel Branch, Logistics Division.
Duties
Serves as a purchasing agent manager and inventory manager with the responsibility for, and the authority to plan, organize, coordinate and advise on supply stock levels, purchasing and contracting efforts.
Responsible for requisitioning, reviewing, inspecting, receiving, storing, issuing, and disposing of items.
Maintains a working knowledge of supply regulations, contracting and purchasing regulations.
Responsible for maintaining the account for the Material Branch Office. Makes adjustment to the Materiel Branch records in the absence of the Medical Supply Officer (MSO).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
- Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Employee shifts are rotated on a regularly scheduled basis.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing an automated MEDICAL logistics system; maintaining MEDICAL inventory, budget or supply records; and applying standardized regulations, policies, or other instructions towards financial or logistics operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
