About the Position: This position is located at Tripler Army Medical Center in the Operating Room.
Duties
Serves as Chief of Property Management Section serving as the authority on property and supply issues on all matters pertaining to Supply
Acquisition and Property Accountability
Responsible for supervising authorization, requisition, receipt, accounting, control, issue, storage, lateral transfer, return and disposal of
expendable, non-expendable, standard, nonstandard, medical and durable property items and equipment.
Provides staff advice and guidance to command elements and to regional MTF representatives.
Manages the administrative operations of the Medical Care Support Equipment (MEDCASE-equipment over $250,000)/Capital Expense
Equipment Programs (CEEP-equipment under $250,000) for MACH, VETCOM, and DENTAC units.
Develops reports in response to recurring and/or special financial requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG).
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- A pre-placement medical examination is required.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- May require rotating shifts (i.e. work schedule that requires employees to continuously rotate from one shift to another at predetermined intervals).
- Position may be designated as Mission Essential. The incumbent will be required to report to work during times of contingency operations, natural disasters, extreme weather or other emergency situations.
- Moderate to heavy lifting up to 50 pounds is required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
