You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT SPECIALIST in the Administrative Branch (Code 1131), Administrative Services Division (Code 1130), a Division of the Corporate Operations Department (Code 1100) of SOUTHWEST REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CENTER.
Duties
You will interpret and apply regulations, procedures and/or precedents to provide advice and solve problems that are more specific.
You will be responsible for gathering information, identifying and analyzing issues and developing recommendations related to a variety of management services essential to the direction and efficient operation of the organization.
You will train and instruct military personnel in all pay grades on the proper usage and submission requirements for e-Leave when executing PCS (Permanent Change of Station) Transfer moves.
You will obtain access to computer software systems such as Navy Standard Integrated Personnel System (NSIPS) and Transaction On-Line Processing System (TOPS) in order to provide and obtain latest personnel information on a military member.
You will provide administrative and technical advice and guidance to military personnel as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for military personnel transfers and receipts at Southwest Regional Maintenance Center.
You will serve as the focal point in the management of the Transfer/Separation tracking system.
You will provide weekly briefings to the Executive Officer, Command Master Chief, and Departmental Leading Chief Petty Officers throughout the organization on the status of PCS/Separation of military personnel.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing administrative and technical advice on military personnel related functions (performance records, personnel files/databases, pay and entitlements, travel, leave, and training) to support the efficient operation of an organization.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
A master's or equivalent degree
OR
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related.
