You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST (SAP) in the SECURITY DEPARTMENT of COMMANDER ELEC ATTACK WING PAC FLEET.
Duties
You will oversee pack out inventories for all assigned squadrons prior to deployments and training exercises.
You will administer personnel, physical and operations security information, and operations security based on guidance from the
Government SAP Security Officer (GSSO).
You will ensure security containers are locked when not under the direct supervision of an authorized person and the container check sheets are properly annotated.
You will make arrangements and coordinate between visitors, the visitor's cognizant security officer and the destination facility's security officer regarding program material.
You will ensure all accountable SAP (Special Access Program) information is entered into an approved document control accountability system to record all transactions of handling, receipt, generation, reproduction, destruction.
You will provide solutions to security problems and questions by developing alternatives/options to meet requirements.
You will manage proper control and implementation of internal program security measures and required training readiness at the functional areas.
Requirements

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
- You are willing and able to submit to a polygraph examination on a recurring basis
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and applying specialized security procedures of the various disciplines (e.g. accountability, reproduction, transmission, destruction) of Special Access Programs and facilities to ensure program requirements and responsibilities are being carried out.

Education
In leiu of expereince:
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D.
OR
Possession of an LL.M. that is related to this position being filled.
