As a Senior Funding Specialist, you will:
Receive assignments through the Division Director or Branch Chiefs and independently performs the funding control functions for the office, monitors expenditures and balances, and prepares funding requests with appropriate explanation and guidance.
Serve as a team lead/mentor with other Funding Specialists on relevant special projects and tasks assigned by the Asset Management Division Directors or Branch Chiefs.
Provide expert technical assistance and guidance to other organizational elements within Multifamily and stakeholders to assure funding flows to the project timely.
Keep the Division Director informed of potential problems and provides a range of recommendations and options to resolve the problem.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-13 level, specialized experience is at least one year of experience at the GS-12 level, or equivalent that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. Specialized experience includes:
-Comprehensive knowledge of administrative and technical work as relative to funding principles, practices, methods and techniques for the processing, maintaining and tracking of all Multifamily housing funding assignments; AND
-Interpreting and applying laws, regulations, and precedents applicable to funding; AND
-Independently and proactively identifying issues that could cause a delay in the receipt of funding at the project level and initiating prompt corrective action and intervention.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
