This position is in Region 8, Mission Support Division, Grants acquisition and Interagency Agreements Branch. About Region 8 This is an office-centered position*--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.*Work-from-home flexibilities may be authorized as described in the Benefits section.

Qualifications

To qualify for the GS-15 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level defined as providing leadership, oversight or technical expertise related to grants, or cooperative agreements, coaching, mentoring or leading others. Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:  Knowledge of technical or program requirements required to plan, manage and make decisions or recommendations. Ability to manage an agency wide program. Knowledge of business practices, procedures and systems. Skill in personnel management. Ability to lead staff by evaluating work performance and giving advice, counsel, and instruction. Skill in oral communication. Skill in written communication. Knowledge of a broad range of contract and/or funding agreement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
