The Antitrust Division has an opening for a Budget Analyst to join its dedicated team and gain invaluable experience working in the public interest to protect the competitive process. Duties

This position is located in the Budget and Fiscal Section (BFS) of the Executive Office (EXO) within the Antitrust Division (ATR). EXO is a very dynamic and fast paced office, delivering the professional management services that power ATR's people and mission. Within EXO, BFS is responsible for developing the Division's budget submissions, processing all fiscal documents, including travel reimbursements, and handling international technical assistance programs. As a Budget Analyst, responsibilities of this position will include, but are not limited to: Administering the formulation and justification of the budget for the ATR Technology Modernization Fund (TMF) activities. Serving as a technical authority on budget formulation, providing advice and guidance on budget policy, alternative strategies, and related support matters. Reviewing, analyzing, revising, and recommending action or modification of budget requests and justifications. Formulating, analyzing, combining, and consolidating budget estimates. Monitoring and reporting on the rate of expenditures of funds. Preparing briefing/decision papers and making presentations. Exercising administrative control of program obligations, expenditures, appropriations, and operations. Performing financial risk analysis of direct and indirect costs and providing various financial scenarios. Advising, recommending, and initiating budget reprogramming actions. Coordinating the collection, analysis, and compilation of budgetary data for reports. Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the GS-13 level, your resume must reflect at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level. Specialized experience is experience that has provided you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position as described above, and that is typically in or related to this position being filled. This experience must be identified in your resume. Examples of qualifying specialized experience at the GS-12 level include: Monitoring the execution of a budget with many different sources and types of funding; Identifying and analyzing trends in the receipt, obligation, or expenditure of funds; and Ensuring objectives of an annual financial plan are met on a timely basis, and that funds are available and properly and effectively used to support program objectives.
