About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at US Army Central at Shaw AFB, South Carolina.
Duties
Administers the Security Program in all areas of Personnel Security for United States Army Central (USARCENT).
Initiate Electronic Questionnaires for Investigations Processing (e-QIP) actions for USARCENT personnel through the Personnel Security Investigation Center of Excellence (PSI-COE).
Ensure all actions are in accordance with AR 380-67, Personnel Security Program, AR380-28, Army Sensitive Compartmented Information Security Program, and other DoD guidelines
Establishes and maintains adjudicative administrative policies, regulations, and SOPs.
Account for all reporting and statistical data involving clearances, accesses, and Periodic Reinvestigations (PR) across all organizational sites as required by higher headquarters and prepares reports for senior personnel review.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for sensitivecompartmented information (SCI).

Specialized Experience is defined as: 1 year of specialized experience is defined as experience with Providing security guidance, direct support, and technical assistance in all matters pertaining to Personnel Security (PERSEC) such as security clearance applications, periodic reinvestigations, analyzing and resolving security clearance problems.

Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
