About the Position: This position is in support of the Operations Branch under the Defense Health Agency located in Falls Church, Virginia.

Duties
The incumbent performs as a DHA Operations Center (DDOC) Operations Analyst in the Defense Health Headquarters (DHHQ).
Primary DHHQ Automated Message Handling System (AMHS) message reviewer
Primary recipient of all Service messages outlining the deployment of military personnel from Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs) and handles the release of DHA directives across the Agency.
Assisting and advising the DOC Team Captain in the execution of all operational matters and procedures.
Supports the preparation and execution of daily combined operations/intelligence briefings.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of
employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- The employee is required to work other than normal duty hours (24/7), to include weekends, nights, and holidays. Employee may be recalled to duty with little or no notice.
- The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019 (Identified as Critical Under the Drug Abuse Testing Program) and must pass urinalysis testing, as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Incumbent must possess a current and valid passport.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing briefs to deliver to directors, generating various report types for review by management (i.e. i.e. Serious Incidents Reports, Operational Reports, Operational Directives, etc.), utilizing automated systems for message review and advise management on operational procedures. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
