You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST (AVIATION MAINTENANCE) of CNATT UNIT NORFOLK.

Duties

You will Provide overall curriculum oversight, curriculum maintenance, formal classroom instruction, and practical laboratory instruction, in the administration and management of Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) policies and procedures.. You will liaison with user activities to obtain feedback on training provided. You will review, update, and evaluate course curriculum, and initiate recommended Revisions or Changes when needed. Evaluate training aids, equipment, and other media in support of teaching assignments.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing guidance and instruction in accordance with training and curriculum development policies and procedures regarding aviation technical matters; 2) Overseeing and managing various curriculum and training administration projects to completion; 3) Documenting, reporting, and resolving discrepancies in aviation training materials; and 4) Reviewing, developing and revising curricula via approved instructional systems and processes.. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in Education or a subject area related to the position to be filled OR

have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Percentage of the required education plus percentage of the required experience must equal one hundred percent.
