About the Position: Serves as the Army's subject matter expert, technical authority, and advisor to ATSC, CAC-T, other TRADOC staff elements, Army Commands (ACOMs), and HQDA on Training Aids, Devices, Simulations, and Simulators (TADSS) requirements determination and policy. This position is eligible for regular and recurring telework - as determined by the agency policy.

Duties

Serves as the Army's subject matter expert, technical authority, and advisor to ATSC, CAC-T, other TRADOC staff elements, Army Commands (ACOMs), and HQDA on Training Aids, Devices, Simulations, and Simulators (TADSS) requirements determination and policy. Exercises comprehensive practical knowledge of complex management processes and techniques, DoD, HQDA, and TRADOC TADSS policies and philosophies, evolving/changing programming needs, and thorough knowledge of DoD and Army combat development programs. Serves as a member of the Command's Unit Set Fielding (USF) assessment Team and participates in the conduct of on-site TSS assessments to define site-specific TSS requirements. Advises and assists the System Training Integration and Devices Directorate (STIDD). Advises various agencies on the interrelationships between TADSS and Army training.

• SECRET CLEARANCE: This position may require the incumbent to be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 25% of the time.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). NOTE: Applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcement.
