You will serve as a Financial Management Analyst in the Corporate Business and Analysis Group/Program & Business Analysis Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.
Duties
You will assist in the performance of functions such as: formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities; review and evaluate budget requests, control and reporting of obligations and expenditures.
You will perform limited studies or assists a higher-graded analyst with full scale studies.
You will prepare preliminary budget estimates, financial reviews, etc. for a few relatively stable programs or program support activities.
You will under the guidance of higher level analysts perform specialized work involving managerial or administrative work in connection with accounting systems; analytical, forecasting and interpretive functions.

Qualifications
To Qualify for the GS-07
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Understanding budgetary, accounting, and/or financial administration, practices, procedures, regulations and policies; 2) Assisting in reviewing and evaluating budget requests; and 3) Assisting in performing control and reporting of obligations and expenditures.
To Qualify for the GS-09
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying budgetary, accounting, and/or financial administration, practices, procedures, regulations and policies; 2) Reviewing and evaluating budget requests; 3) Performing control and reporting obligations and expenditures; and 4) Analyzing and recommending cost and benefits of alternative methods of financial management.

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
For the GS-09:Master's or equivalent graduate degreeor2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
For the GS-07:1 full year of graduate level education
or
superior academic achievement
