This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. Duties

Assists the Fitness Facility Manager in the overall management and operation of a fitness facility. Assists with the scheduling and outreach of organizational units at the facility. Conducts classes and walks all facility rooms to provide guidance as appropriate. Assists in the assessment of facility requirements and helps develop plans and specifications for projects to augment or replace fitness and sports facilities. Oversees the inventory of property; fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement as appropriate

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with Army Regulation 215-3.
• A one-year Supervisory probationary period may be required.
• This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation.
• Management reserves the right to reassign employees to other facilities.
• Work schedule will be irregular. The incumbent will be required to work, nights, weekends, holidays and/or special events.
• Must complete the following courses or classes after the start of employment: MWR Orientation Course; Customer Service; Equipment (Safe Operation and Basic Maintenance Repair).

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess the following: experience carrying out a sports program that included: a variety of individual and team sports, and guiding participants in developing the skills needed for participation in sports activities, and teaching the techniques of various sports. possess the following certifications: CPR, and First Aid, and AED Valid certifications MUST be uploaded at the time of application PLEASE NOTE: Your resume & application package must reflect the qualifications stated in the announcement and questionnaire to be rated eligible.
