This position is for Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum, New York. Duties

Supports activities and services of the athletics and intramural sports program and provides oversight of events and tournaments. Maintains cleanliness and organization of athletic facilities. Ensures adherence to regulations and safety procedures. Monitors condition of, cleans, and performs minor maintenance on athletics equipment. Assists in setting up for special events and sports tournaments and publicizes events and tournaments; assisting with the delivery and placement of posters, flyers, and other promotional material.

Requirements

• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with Army Regulation 215-3.
• This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation.
• Must obtain and maintain a nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED within one year of employment.
• Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.
• Must be able to endure physical demands beyond normal requirements including prolonged standing and walking, and must be able to work in settings where exposure to moderate discomforts may exist.
• Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule, to include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
• An employer referred pre-employment physical examination is required.
• Management reserves the right to reassign employees to other facilities.
• Work schedule may be irregular. The incumbent may be required to work, nights, weekends, holidays and/or special events.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess the following: Ability to perform duties such as assisting in setting up and publicizing special events and sport tournaments, assist to deliver posters, flyers, and other promotional materials, and assisting customers, AND Ability to obtain and maintain a nationally recognized certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED within one year of employment.
