Duties
This position is located in the Budget Directorate, Office of Mission Support, Office of Inspector General (OIG). The Budget Directorate exists to advance efficiency, accountability, and performance by providing innovative solutions for financial management. The Budget Directorate achieves this by performing continual analysis on the OIG’s financial position and serving as a senior advisor to the OIG leadership on tactical and strategic budget matters.
Requirements

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience in managing funds through fiscal reporting and financial advisory services, to include budget formulation and execution, travel and commercial accounting, civilian payrolls, and financial systems applications.
Knowledge of statutory responsibilities in regard to financial obligations, accounting transactions, disbursement spending, and administrative control of all allocated federal funds.
Serve as an expert advisor and is responsible for the proper and economic management of all financial resources under jurisdiction of the OIG, in accordance with a wide variety of laws and regulations.
Provide expert level guidance on a full range of activities associated with accounting, budgeting and financial reporting to support timely and legally sufficient budget schedules, narratives and exhibits as required by the Agency, OMB, and Congress.
Performs ongoing extensive analysis and continual monitoring on the execution of the OIG budget, provides reports on an ongoing basis to provide real time situational awareness to leadership
