This position is located in the Blackfeet Community Hospital, Browning, MT. Its purpose is to serve as Cook Foreman for the dietic staff. The incumbent is responsible for planning, maintaining, supervising and providing for an effective dietetic program.
Duties
Plans and assigns work to subordinates, sets priorities, establishes work unit and objectives; plans and establishes work schedules for completion of work (Considering the difficulty of the assignments and capabilities of the employee).
Monitors work processes and procedures of cooking staff, to ensure that required protection is used on all equipment and that maximum capacities of equipment are not exceeded, that all tools and equipment are sanitary, safely maintained and stored.
Conducts orientation and on the job training for new employees for the demonstration of correct work procedures and practices.
Maintains all necessary records for budgetary management and control, as number and kind of meals provided, food inventories, time and work schedules, etc..
Qualifications

Time In Grade
Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP).
