About the Position: Serve as the Supervisor Initial Entry Training Leader & Cadre Development Program Director (LCDP) direct the overall development, design resourcing, and implementation all Cadre training courses throughout Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC). This position is located at Fort Jackson, SC.
Duties
Serve as the Deputy Director, Initial Military Training Leadership School (IMTLS) and as Director for Initial Entry Training (IET) Leader and Cadre Development Programs (LCDP).
Draw conclusions and makes recommendations, and decisions, that impact significantly on the directorate and the command
Direct the overall development, design, resourcing, and implementation of all cadre training courses throughout Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC).
Serves at 2nd in charge in support of the IMTLS commandant and all required and directed training and development mission requirements
Manage the integration of education and training into Fort Jackson and 48 IET Sites.
Ensure that training and development needs of employees are met.
Review organizational staffing structures and approves Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) changes to provide efficient and economical operations in the directorate.
Establish policies and systems that promote production effectiveness, improve production techniques, increase production output, and reduce cost of production.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- A one (1) year supervisory probationary period is required if applicant selected has not previously met this requirement

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Experience developing written lessons plans; 2) Experience developing comprehensive training materials; 3) Experience formulating lessons plans for a training program; 4) Experience facilitating curriculum for the Cadre training school. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
